DLVS LOVES NYC/11-11-2011

DLVS recently visited New York City for work and inspiration. We went on an inspirational shopping tour for our client Jeans Centre, visiting many of the most fantastic concept stores and exquisite boutiques in order to provide them with a new retail concept for 2012. We stayed at the new Dream Downtown in the Meatpacking District. The hotel turned out to be the place to party from dusk till dawn. The ultimate dinner tip in the Lower East Side: try out Beauty & Essex. Don't let the unassuming front of the restaurant fool you! We were pleasantly suprised by both the food and the atmosphere. The rumor that there is free champagne in the ladies bathroom? It's true. And for all you other J.Crew fans from the first hour: the newly expanded and remodeled flagship store at 91 Fifth Avenue is a must-see!

THE NIEUWSTE WIJK IN TOWN/11-11-2011

For positioning and communicating the "Afrikaanderwijk. The nieuwste wijk in town" campaign, photographer Ruud Baan recently shot 5 additional campaign images. For this second series of portraits once again an amazing street casting was accomplished. Art direction, production and design by DLVS. In collaboration with Perron 14. STATE OF ART/ LA VITA E BELLA/11-11-2011

On a recent trip to Italy we shot the Spring/Summer 2012 campaign for our much appreciated client State of Art. The images from under the Tuscan sun will be used in advertising, the brochure and other print media. DLVS has taken care of the concept, art direction, photography and production.

NEW CAMPAIGN JUSTIN ALEXANDER/02-08-2011

Modern interpretations of traditional silhouettes. Justin Alexander Bridal is a designer and manufacturer of mid-to-high end wedding gowns. Inspired by vintage 1950's and '60's fashion, Justin Alexander gowns are updated with modern twists making them perfect for the contemporary bride. DLVS provides the concept, art direction, photography and production used to showcase the Justin Alexander brand in both print and film.

CELEBRATING THE PITCH VICTORY... DE ROTTERDAM BY REM KOOLHAAS / OMA/01-04-2011

DLVS is very proud to have won the pitch for the very prestigious project De Rotterdam by Rem Koolhaas / OMA. With the world population at more than 6.8 billion people, space is at an all time premium. Visionary Rem Koolhaas introduces the vertical city that offers a variety of functions and services. De Rotterdam is currently the largest construction project in the Netherlands. De Rotterdam’s prime location at the Wilhelminapier places it at the epicenter of the architecture district, one of Rotterdam’s fastest growing residential neighborhoods, and home to world-class cultural venues, theaters and fine dining. De Rotterdam includes luxury apartments, offices, a four star hotel, shops, a health club, cafes and restaurants. The apartments are very luxurious and have spectacular views over the docks, the Erasmus Bridge and the city of Rotterdam. De Rotterdam makes smart use of renewable energy. De Rotterdam will be completed in 2013.

THE NIEUWSTE WIJK IN TOWN/17-03-2011

DLVS has won in collaboration with Perron 14 the key pitch for Afrikaanderwijk Rotterdam. The assignment involves positioning and communicating this region that will be restructured the coming years. It's a neighborhood full of history and a bright and colourful future. In the coming years there are plans to build about 1,800 new homes. We are proud that we can participate in this great project. We have worked with Ellie Uyttenbroek for the street casting and Ruud Baan for photography. Art direction and design by DLVS. Client: Vestia / Proper Stok / Estrada / Gemeente Rotterdam

The first Jeans Centre brochure has been sent to press! DLVS restyled the brand identity of Jeans Centre with a fresh new look. JC recently launched its new website, including an extensive online shop. The first brochure with new arrivals and the latest looks in denim will be send out this weekend. The new AW 11/12 campaign for State of Art we have produced in Spa Belgium. The new campaign includes advertising, a look book, a magazine and a new movie. The campaign will be launched in summer.

After a period of hard work, Jeans Centre launched its new website. The new site contains an extensive online shop. DLVS restyled the brand identity of JC with a new fresh new look. Furthermore we are working on a make-over of the JC brand, including new advertising, brochures and signing. Jeans Centre is the largest jeans retailer in the Netherlands with nearly 100 stores.

Sketch would rather have no shop concept, Sketch works more like a blog: personal, dynamic, sketchy. Sketch sells exactly that unique fashion and design brands in particular, Robert, (the creative director of Sketch) discovered on his many travels and through his extensive network. Throughout the northern hemisphere winter DLVS is a firm fixture in the Cape Town scene. Having spent many a winter here fulfilling clients’ needs, the city has become our second home. DLVS has had the privilege of working with State of Art for over 8 years, shooting their campaigns in many of the world’s most beautiful locations. AVENTURA BRABANT. A NEW SHOPPING EXPERIENCE/08-05-2009

For those of you who haven’t already heard, Tilburg has the opportunity to get a unique new shopping experience: Aventura Brabant. Aventura Brabant is an architectural tour de force. Blending with the landscape, it will be a natural, people-friendly environment created with careful consideration to use of raw materials and energy; a flagship of sustainability. Aventura Brabant will provide space for new and experimental store formats and hard-to-find product ranges. An innovative hotspot offering a host of entertaining experiences alongside the shopping, Aventura Brabant will include restaurants, shows, events, exhibitions, a day-beach, playgrounds, an open-air theater, a petting zoo and various indoor and outdoor sports facilities. A complete package for a whole day out, for every member of the family!  DLVS has been commissioned by project developers OVG Estate to create its referendum campaign. Will Aventura’s eco-friendly design become reality? The residents of Tilburg will decide on 4th June.

DLVS & HERMAN DEN BLIJKER/09-04-2009

Herman den Blijker is Holland’s most famous chef. Beyond the cuisine, Herman is also TV celebrity, a businessman, an entrepreneur and a friend of ours.Together, we have developed a complete brand package that identifies all things ‘Herman’ to an image-conscious public. From dressing the staff and tables in his restaurants to designing and packaging kitchenware for retail, DLVS has looked after of all aspects of Herman’s corporate presentation so that he can concentrate on the cooking!

With Herman being a household name, homeware retailers have naturally been keen to get a slice of the action. One of The Netherlands’ largest chains, Blokker, now carries its own range of Herman den Blijker cookware products. DLVS designed the packaging, establishing a strong identity that stands out in a competitive market.

 

WEEKEND CONNECTIONS LE BOOK PARIS/06-04-2009

Last weekend we traveled to Paris to visit LeBook. An event specially conceived for high-end professionals in the creative industry like creative directors, art directors, art buyers, image directors, marketing and communication executives, fashion editors and photo editors. Over 1000 photographers' and illustrators' portfolios were exhibited at CONNECTIONS, showcased by the best artists' agencies from all over the world. A great opportunity for DLVS to view portfolios, source new talent and network with peers. We also took the opportunity to spend a wonderful weekend in Paris with our good friend Pierre.

FIGHT FOR YOUR RIDE/18-02-2009

In opdracht van USSR Media heeft DLVS het logo ontworpen voor het nieuwe RTL7 programma "Fight for your ride". Het is een spannende race door eigen land met onbekende hobbels en uitdagingen waarbij lef, geduld en inzicht elke minuut op de proef worden gesteld. Ontwerp DLVS: Sebastiaan van Hamersvelt.

DLVS WINT PITCH NEW BABYLON/02-01-2009

DLVS heeft wederom een belangrijke pitch gewonnen!!! We zijn gevraagd een communicatie concept te ontwikkelen voor New Babylon Den Haag en vooral New Babylon te positioneren als een meer dan fantastische, stedelijke, moderne woonplek. Het Babylon-complex zal worden omarmd door twee nieuwe woontorens van respectievelijk 140 meter en 100 meter hoog. Deze torens bepalen dan de skyline van Den Haag. De appartementen krijgen uitzicht over de Koekamp, de stad en de zee. Het buitengewone ontwerp is van Roberto Meijer van Meijer en Van Schooten. We hebben een zeer spectaculair marketingprogramma ontwikkeld wat verder zal worden uitgewerkt en waarvan we u op de hoogte zullen houden. Opdrachtgevers: Amvest, Space2Live

MEGAKLUS/12-12-2008

De afgelopen 2 maanden hebben wij keihard gewerkt aan een aantal hele vette catalogi voor oa US Basic, Slazenger, PGA & Best in Town. DLVS heeft de gehele productie voor deze catalogi verzorgd. Van het ontwerp, de art direction, productie & fotografie in Cape Town t/m de opmaak. Al met al ruim over de 600 pagina's! We ronden deze megaklus net voor de kerst af om daarna even twee weken onder de boom uit te rusten... Art direction: Monique van Steenbergen en Ivo Peeters, opdrachtgever: PF Concept.

Onder de naam Den Blijker Proof! zijn de Koninklijke Van den Boer Groep en De Engel Holding maandagavond officieel de samenwerking aangegaan op het gebied van party- en eventcatering. Een nieuw label dat staat voor echt en authentiek, sterk en stoer. Herman den Blijker is verantwoordelijk voor de samenstelling van de culinaire collectie en Oseven, onderdeel van de Koninklijke Van den Boer Groep, voor de foutloze uitvoering van evenementen. DLVS ontwikkelde voor Den Blijker Proof! de corporate huisstijl.

DLVS WINT BELANGRIJKE PITCH ZALMHAVEN ROTTERDAM!/10-12-2008

Yes! We hebben gewonnen! Na een bureau-oriëntatie en een pitch tussen 6 bureaus is DLVS als winnaar uit de bus gekomen. Het gaat om het communicatie-concept Zalmhaven Rotterdam, de hoogste woontoren van Nederland. Dit prestigieuze plan van Claus en Kaan Architecten, en Dam en Partners zal in het Scheepvaartkwartier ontwikkeld worden. Het Scheepvaartkwartier is een populair centrumgebied aan de noordzijde van de Maas met een aantrekkelijke mix van woon-, werk- en recreatiefuncties. De totale ontwikkeling omvat circa 560 koop- en huurwoningen en circa 830 parkeerplaatsen. Opdrachtgever: Amvest, AM Wonen en LSI Project Investment.

WERELDMUSEUM KIEST VOOR DLVS/09-12-2008

DLVS is heel trots! Na een uitgebreide bureau oriëntatie heeft het Wereldmuseum Rotterdam gekozen voor DLVS. Het Wereldmuseum ondergaat een grootschalige verbouwing en zal medio september 09 geopend worden voor publiek. Het museum bestaat o.a. uit een restaurant, theater en een reisbureau. DLVS is gevraagd om de totale corporate en visual identity te ontwikkelen. Verder zal er ook een publiekscampagne voor de thema tentoonstellingen ontwikkeld worden. 

JAMIE & HERMAN IN THE SPOTLIGHT/24-11-2008

In opdracht van Kosmos Uitgevers hebben wij een Abri campagne ontworpen voor Jamie & Herman. DLVS tekende ook voor het ontwerrp van het nieuwe kookboek van Herman ism Job Rompa. Dus snel naar de winkel voor deze culinaire gifts vol lekkere recepten. Herman Dichtbij is ook online bij DLVS te bestellen.

GRAND OPENING ZOMERS/24-11-2008

Voor de meest exclusieve bloemenwinkel van Rotterdam ontwerpt DLVS jaarlijks de uitnodiging voor de eindejaars expo. Dit jaar is het een ode aan alle vaste klanten geworden. 's Zomers start na een intensieve verbouwing met een "petit magasin" voor de mooiste interieur accecoires van o.a. Vivienne Westwood. Ook werkt DLVS in de wintermaanden aan een nieuwe huisstijl en een site voor 's Zomers.

MEDIA ROOKIES THUIS IN ROTTERDAM/22-11-2008

Twaalf jonge en veelbelovende mediaplanners, gingen op uitnodiging van Boomerang, voor de tweede editie van Media Rookies. Doel van de trip is deze jonge talenten een inspiratie- boost te geven door ze op intensieve wijze kennis te laten maken met design, cultuur, media, straatcultuur en uitgaan in een totaal andere omgeving. De deelnemers komen van verschillende mediabureaus, waaronder Mindshare, Vizeum, Zenith Optimedia, Universal Media, Starcom, M2Media, SVB Mediaservices en Carat. Mark de Leeuw (DLVS) hield thuis een presentatie over het eigen modelabel BadaBing! terwijl er ondertussen door de Mediarookies samen met Helly Scholten werd gekookt met boodschappen uit Chinatown Rotterdam. Het was een zeer succesvolle dag met dank aan de organisatoren MindMovers & Boomerang.

SUMMER OF LOVE BY BADABING!/16-11-2008

BadaBing! presenteert haar nieuwe collectie die geïnspireerd is op de Summer of Love uit de 60er jaren in San Francisco. De collectie is een ode aan de dit jaar overleden Albert Hofmann, een Zwitserse chemicus en uitvinder van LSD. De graphics in de collectie zijn gebaseerd op de zogenoemde paper trips, die veelvuldig werden gebruikt en een nieuwe beweging op gang brachten. Concept & graphics by DLVS Creative Services.

DE MAGIE VAN WAGYU/30-10-2008

DLVS heeft opdracht gekregen een verpakkingsconcept te ontwerpen voor in de Bijenkorf. Superslagerij van den Berg is per 1 januari samengegaan met Nice To Meat. Beide bedrijven staan garant voor topkwaliteit vlees. En dan bedoelen we kogelbiefstuk, vleeswaren en het exclusieve Wagyu rundvlees van het allerhoogste niveau. The House of Caviar zal deze producten gaan verkopen in de Bijenkorf Den Haag en Rotterdam. Ook is er door DLVS een brochure voor Wagyu ontworpen en geproduceerd.

TEES BY US BASIC/30-10-2008

Ivo hebben we al een maand niet gezien op de zaak. Hij draait een enorme fotografie productie voor US Basic in de studio. DLVS is gevraagd de nieuwe catalogus te ontwerpen en te produceren. Belangrijke focus bij US Basic zijn dit jaar T-shirts.

GROTE FOTO PRODUCTIE IN KAAPSTAD/22-10-2008

DLVS Worldwide vertrekt volgende week weer naar Kaapstad Zuid Afrika voor een grote foto-productie van 12 dagen. Er zullen verschillende shoots zijn voor een aantal van onze vaste klanten met Monique van Steenbergen als art director en Hans van Brakel als fotograaf.

HERMAN SERVEERT BALLEN/22-10-2008

Afgelopen maandag hadden we een belangrijk feestje. Herman presenteerde in Las Palmas zijn nieuwe kookboekboek "Herman Dichtbij" en zijn Blokker kookproductenlijn aan de pers. DLVS heeft aan beide projecten intensief gewerkt de afgelopen maanden. Ism Job Rompa tekende wij voor het ontwerp van het nieuwe kookboek (tekst Jaap van Rijn en fotografie Paul de Graaff). Ook was DLVS nauw betrokken bij de ontwikkeling van een prachtige serie Herman kookproducten, die uitgebracht zijn bij Blokker. DLVS ontwierp ook de packaging voor deze prachtige serie pannen, messen, spatels en andere herrie voor in de keuken. Opdrachtgevers: Kosmos en Blokker.

PRODUCTIE VANUIT SRI LANKA VOOR STATE OF ART/12-10-2008

Monique werkt momenteel aan een foto- en filmproductie in Sri Lanka voor State of Art. Via haar telefoon ontvingen we deze foto van de crew. Niet slecht toch? Voor State of Art produceren we vanuit Sri Lanka de nieuwe campagne voor de Summer 09 Collection. 

DE TOCHT DER TOCHTEN/10-10-2008

In opdracht van USSR Media ontwikkelt DLVS een visual identity voor een nieuw televisie format voor de NCRV; "De Nationale Viering 100 jaar Elfstedentocht".

 

IT'S SPRING AND I"M BLIND/25-09-2008

Alweer een wat ouder project. Maar ik kwam hem ineens tegen in de archieven en wilde hem toch even kwijt. Ruud Sies heeft als fotograaf een jaar met zijn familie door Amerika gereisd. Ruud Sies fotografeerde de daklozen in sober zwart wit en van dichtbij.
